Afghan Girls Empowerment was created to ensure that girls in Afghanistan are not silenced by restrictions on education and sports. Founded by Yasamin Amiry, former Afghanistan Women’s National Soccer Player, certified personal trainer & nutritionist, and Google Project Management Certified professional, the program is rooted in lived experience. Yasamin grew up in refugee camps, weaving carpets with her siblings to survive, until sponsors gave her the chance to study and play soccer. She now works to extend that same opportunity to today’s generation of Afghan girls.
Our 12-month program serves 30 young women (ages 13–25) through:
• English & Dari Literacy Classes taught online by skilled teachers.
• Fitness & Nutrition Training to build strength, health, and confidence.
• Creative Workshops in pottery and sewing that spark entrepreneurship and self-expression.
• Mentorship & Leadership Development to prepare girls for future opportunities and scholarships abroad.
Importantly, we also hire Afghan female teachers who have lost their jobs due to current restrictions. These women become mentors and role models while earning income to support their families.
At Afghan Girls Empowerment, we believe that every girl has the right to learn, grow, and lead. Our work is more than education it’s a movement to restore hope, dignity, and independence for Afghan women, one girl at a time.

Our Mission:
At Afghan Girls Empowerment, our mission is to provide Afghan girls with the education, skills, and confidence they are denied under current restrictions. Through online English and Dari literacy classes, fitness and nutrition coaching, and creative workshops in pottery and sewing, we create safe spaces where girls can learn, grow, and express themselves freely.
We aim to build not only knowledge and health but also resilience, leadership, and hope empowering girls to shape their own futures and inspire change in their communities.
